1. Monday. Finding happiness in the most unlikely of places; a steep rocky run that hosts the Extreme Skiing Comps later in the year. Pheonix/Spellbound. A place I had never been, a place that today, gave me confidence. A place that reminded me of how capable I am. I went with a friend who ski’s really well -  He was my tour guide and pointed out all the different rock cliffs, and where the best place to launch was (something I feel much better watching than participating in :). I had a lot of fun with that. I trusted him to help me pick safe lines - until I found my own. I finally had a breakthrough skiing rockered pow skis. I skied aggressively - without fear that usually stops me. He was really impressed - he told me so. I’m impressed with myself too, I hope I’m allowed to be. We also skied the North Face Glades,  my new favorite place. Following lead, doing something, doing something new, doing something that feels good (really good!), and doing something uncomfortable. Coming home and lighting candles, making tea. A lovely end to a wonderful day. Hope y’all got to enjoy the day as well.
